JUNIOR TEAM TENNIS
Junior Team Tennis (JTT) is a local league for players looking for more match experience. It is a low-pressure environment for players to hone their match-play skills in preparation for tournament play and high school tennis. For some it is a great first experience and for others it’s a way to find more players to play matches against.
WOMEN’S AND MEN’S INTER CLUB TEAM
The Women’s inter club league, which includes other teams from other clubs, has been a fantastic opportunity for women’s tennis in the Santa Barbara, Ventura, Ojai and Santa Ynez areas. This venue organizes competitive tennis for women at all levels of play. It’s a long season (from September through May) where club teams compete against other club’s teams with home and away matches. MEN’S DAY
Men’s Day is a great casual, social tennis day on Friday afternoons from 3:00-5:00. Members can invite guests to join to play and enjoy the interaction with Knowlwood members. It’s also a great way for nonmembers to meet members if they become interested in becoming members down the road. Danny Echt, (805) 895-1488, is the pro who coordinates this enjoyable activity.
USTA ADULT LEAGUES
There are various levels of USTA Teams formed by Knowlwood members for both Men and Women. Sometimes teams are CO-ED, age specific or combined age formatted. It’s a great venue for all those who can only play on weekends, or cannot get enough tennis during the week and crave for more.
